Community Safety
With Kyle’s law enforcement background and education, he will be a champion for the safety of the residents of Richland. Kyle will use his knowledge to develop policies, and impact change as Richland continues to grow and expand.
In recent years, the population has grown in Richland with many people relocating from cities. This has brought more crime and gang activity than Richland is used to. We need people on the city council that have a professional level understanding of law enforcement to inform the council and to support our Richland police officers. Kyle will offer his expertise for this critical need.
Homelessness is a growing problem in Richland. Kyle has a commonsense approach to the issue and will bring ideas for problem solving while prioritizing safety of the community.
Municipal Codes
Kyle has experience reviewing policies and procedures from experience in the military, working with Veterans, and as part of the Hanford Patrol. He has already spent time looking through Richland’s municipal codes and has found some that could use a thorough review. He has identified some that are completely outdated.
The meticulous work of policy review is tedious and unappealing to most people, but not Kyle. He intends to immerse himself in the municipal codes making sure Richland’s rules are working for the residents and businesses in our community.
Business
A specific area of the municipal codes that Kyle wants to review are codes that affect business. If Richland wants to attract businesses, the city must make it reasonable and affordable to open and maintain a business. Richland has been very open to economic development and welcoming to business. Kyle will be a voice on the city council to ensure that this approach continues. He will be supportive of the city staff in the areas of planning and economic development. He will be supportive of policies, processes, and programs, that help businesses achieve their goals.

new Veteran’s cemetery in Richland.
Kyle has pledged his support for the Veteran’s cemetery that has been proposed for Richland. Veterans need a local place to rest in peace and their families need a comforting location to visit and reflect on their lives and their service.
We need more services and support for Veteran’s in Richland. Kyle will be an advocate for Veteran’s issues and a voice for their needs. Kyle is proud of his service. He encourages young people to consider the military as a career. For Kyle, it was not just a job, but a mission that he felt compelled to engage in. His commitment to the service will make him a reliable representative for Veteran’s in Richland.
